Commuter Student Resources

Welcome to our Commuter Student Resource page!

We know that commuter students are on the go! CSE is committed to supporting commuting students and helping them to navigate their college experience. You are an integral part of our ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ community and we want you to feel at home on campus.

Commuter Student Association

The Commuter Student Association (CSA) strives to help commuters build connections within the campus community. Through planning social events and by providing a platform for students to discuss commuter specific issues and related topics, the CSA works to enhance the commuter student experience.

Commuter Lockers

The ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ has a number of lockers available on the first floor of the DeNaples Center for commuting students. Commuter lockers are available on a first come, first served basis and are available via a registration process. A QR code for the locker reservation form will be posted in the locker area on the first day of the fall semester. If a locker is claimed and not registered through the online reservation process, the lock will be removed and all content will be donated. Students are required to remove their lock and all personal items at the end of the spring semester. Questions? Contact commuter@scranton.edu.

Commuter Parking

There are several parking locations on campus, and you may find different locations more convenient for you depending on what campus building you are going to and what time you are arriving on campus. Some common locations to park on campus include the Parking Pavilion (labeled as T on the map), Upper and Lower Madison lots (labeled as L and M), the Redington Hall lot (labeled as G) and the Ridge Row lot (labeled as C).

A valid ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ parking permit is required for vehicles to park on campus. Commuter students can access the parking permit application on the . The Parking Services Office is located on Level 2 of the Parking Pavilion. Learn more about campus parking permits.

Signature Programs

In partnership with the Commuter Student Association, the Center for Student Engagement aims to provide social and educational programming to all of our commuter students. In addition to new and exciting social events, we have a variety of signature programs we hold each year to help foster an inclusive and welcoming community among our commuting students.  One signature program we offer is Commuter Day: The Royal Way, which occurs before your first semester begins and serves as a complement to the orientation program. Commuter Day is made for commuter students, by commuter students.  We strive to engage with all students in our community and welcome any new programming ideas you may be interested in attending.

Make sure to to see highlights from our past programming, and to keep up on all of the upcoming club activities and offerings!
