Programming and Support

  • Ensure that School/College, Departmental, and Divisional planning, assessment, and reporting practices concretely address diversity and inclusion, and provide guidance and tools to support these areas of work.

    • Updates: Vice Presidents and Deans are utilizing the annual report process to monitor DEI work, and address gaps identified by the annual reporting process.
  • Expand mentorship programs for faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds to connect with other campus leaders and peers to support their welcome and experience in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ life. 
    • Overseen by: Daniel Cosacchi, Vice President for Mission and Ministry; Elizabeth Garcia, Executive Director, Office of Equity and Diversity; Michelle Maldonado, Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Patricia Tetreault, Vice President of Human Resources

    •  Updates: 
      • The leads started to meet the Fall of 2022 to begin working and planning on the development of an orientation model for all staff and faculty. The leads worked with faculty and staff to create new onboarding modules for all new and continuing adjunct faculty that launched in Fall 2023.
      • Human Resources, the Office of Equity & Diversity and Academic Affairs hosted a reception for staff new hires.
  • Encourage and provide self-assessment resources for employees to help determine readiness, strengths and opportunities for their own growth, and their ability to support diverse student needs, including through the work of Human Resources and The Jesuit Center.
