Licensed Behavior Specialist
Mission Autism Clinics
Tell us a little about yourself.I am from Blakeslee, Pennsylvania. I work for Mission Autism Clinics (MAC) as a licensed behavior specialist. I manage a caseload of six children, ranging in age from two to seven years old, preparing their programming to focus on communication, social/play/leisure, adaptive behaviors, and behavior reduction programs.
How did you get into the ABA field?I began working as a behavior specialist, and really fell in love with Applied Behavior Analysis and what ABA is all about.
Why did you choose Scranton's program?I chose The ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ because I loved what the program had to offer.
What are your future plans after graduation?I plan to finish my fieldwork experience by the end of summer and sit for the board (exam) by fall.
What did you like about Scranton's program?I already maintain a master's in psychology with a concentration in ABA, but due to the task list change, I had to return to school. The ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ provided everything I needed to succeed -- online classes, as well as live lectures, and professors that were available.
