James F. Boyle, DBA, CPA

Dr. James F. Boyle, DBA, CPA, is an Associate Professor in the Accounting Department at the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ, where he also serves as the Director of the Master of Accountancy Program and the Faculty Advisor for Accounting Internships. Dr. Boyle received his Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ and his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ. Dr. Boyle is a Certified Public Accountant and has significant professional experience working in public accounting and in internal auditing. Dr. Boyle has co-authored articles published in many quality peer-reviewed academic and practitioner journals, including The Accounting Educators’ Journal, The CPA Journal, Strategic Finance, The Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting, and Internal Auditing. He received several publishing awards, including the 2015 Institute of Management Accountants’ Lybrand Silver Medal and the 2016 IMA Certificate of Merit Award. He was awarded a competitive grant from the Institute of Management Accountants for his dissertation research on Enterprise Risk Management and Financial Managers’ Judgments.
