David Bright earned his master's degree in school counseling from the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ in 2015. He credits the mentorship he received from his professors and the engaging coursework and clinical training for the success and satisfaction he has experienced in his counseling career.

Matt Montoro says the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ's school counseling master's program prepared him "to hit the ground running" upon the completion of his degree. He says: "The coursework was thorough, challenging, engaging, and really enjoyable. I became a better student, researcher, educator, and person as a result. The engagement of working with professors, viewing tapes, reading research, writing clinical papers, dynamic discussions with professors and self-reflection really is what made the School Counseling program so impactful on my life and career."

Zachary Watters says the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ's school counseling master's program prepared him well for working in the field. "The coursework was challenging, but gave us the support needed to be successful," he says, "Our practicum time was well organized, yet very demanding. It taught me to balance thing and wear many hats. I still use the skills I learned there every day! The faculty and staff could not possibly be better."

After earning her bachelor's degree in counseling and human services at The ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, Jackie Thomas, returned to complete a master's in school counseling. She cites her own high school counselor with inspiring her to study school counseling over other areas of the field.

Jaime-Castillo chose to earn his master's degree in school counseling at The ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ after his interview during the admissions process. "The interview process was warm, empathetic, and the faculty were already invested in us. The space was one were I felt I could both learn didactically and be challenged intrapersonally."
