Purpose

The Behavioral Health and Counseling Clinic provides counseling services to individuals that live within Lackawanna county that are uninsured or underinsured.

The clinic is conducted by graduate level counseling students under the direction and supervision of faculty in the Counseling and Human Services Department.

Our staff offer both clinical mental health counseling and rehabilitation counseling, utilizing industry standard procedures for individual, couple, family, and group counseling. These counseling sessions are free to those who qualify, and are used as an educational tool for the graduate level counseling students.

Supervisor

Graduate-level counseling students are supervised by Geri Barber, MS, NCC, LPC, CRC.

Supplemental Programs

During normal operations, the counseling clinic offers a Parenting Support group and a Play Therapy group.
