Media Resources/EdLab Collection

Policies

Borrowing

All currently enrolled ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ students, faculty, administration, and staff have borrowing privileges for Media/EdLab Resources. Persons without a Royal Card may use Media/EdLab resources in the MRC, but may not borrow them.

Faculty and Staff may borrow Audio Books, DVDs, Music CDs, and VHS tapes for seven (7) days. EdLab materials may be borrowed for the full semester.

Students may borrow Audio Books, DVDs, Music CDs, and VHS tapes for five (5) days. EdLab materials may be borrowed five (5) days.

Alumni and Friends of the Library may borrow Audio Books, DVDs, Music CDs, and VHS tapes for seven (7) days.

Copyright

United States federal copyright law provides for strict penalties for copyright infringement. The MRC abides by the entire copyright, Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998 and the "Fair Use Guidelines for Educational Multimedia." Material protected by copyright may not be copied without written permission from the copyright holder. This applies to all media formats.

Services for Faculty

Acquisitions

Recommendations for adding new titles to the collection are welcome. Requests can be submitted via the or directly to Prof. Sylvia Orner, Collection & Resources Management Librarian. Acquisitions are made on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Reserves

The Library Services Desk puts Media and EdLab materials on reserve. Requests should be submitted via the .

Streaming Media

Media Viewing Room

Persons with a Royal Card can reserve this room at .

When you arrive to use the room, please bring the case for the item you need to the Library Services Desk. The item and room key will be checked out to you, and both should be returned to the Library Services Desk when you are finished. Since the room is for Media Viewing only, the key will not be loaned without a media item.
