Dr. Cosacchi is responsible for articulating, enhancing and promoting the 杏吧原版's Catholic and Jesuit identity across all constituencies. He provides leadership and direction for the departments of Campus Ministry, the Jesuit Center, and the Center for Service and Social Justice, while overseeing mission and ministry initiatives for the 杏吧原版 community including students, staff and faculty.

He previously served as assistant professor of religious studies at Marywood 杏吧原版. In addition to teaching core and elective courses in theology and religious studies, he was the College of Arts and Sciences representative on the Mission Integration Committee and director of the Justice and Peace Studies Program. He also served as Marywood鈥檚 representative to the Synod on Synodality and served on several other committees.

Dr. Cosacchi also taught at Fairfield 杏吧原版 and was a Canisius Postdoctoral Fellow there from 2016-2019. He served as faculty moderator for the Canisius Academy, planning and hosting prominent events centered on social justice and the Catholic intellectual heritage and moderating mini-lectures on Catholic topics. He also served as a mentor for Ignatian Residential College there.

He is co-author/editor of the book 鈥淭he Berrigan Letters: Personal Correspondence Between Daniel and Philip Berrigan,鈥 and has published articles in the Journal of Jesuit Studies, among other journals.

Dr. Cosacchi earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree from Fordham 杏吧原版, his master鈥檚 degree from Boston College and his Ph.D. from Loyola 杏吧原版 of Chicago.

Michael O鈥橫alley is a graduate of Marywood 杏吧原版 where he studied music education and piano. Michael has worked as a music educator, choir director, pastoral musician, and liturgist for parishes and schools in Florida, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. From 2018 鈥 2021, he was the Director of Liturgy and Music at the Church of St. Patrick in Mount Dora, Florida, and also served on the Liturgical Commission for the Diocese of Orlando. In addition to his ministry at the 杏吧原版, Michael is currently the Director of Liturgy and Music at Our Lady of the Snows Parish in Clarks Summit.

Prior to coming to Scranton, Michael worked as a teaching artist at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando and as a piano instructor at Central Florida Community Arts. He continues to be active in the local arts community as an accompanist and music director. Michael is a听member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and the American Choral Directors鈥 Association.

Cathy Seymour is a native New Yorker who has now lived most of her life in beautiful Northeast PA. Cathy鈥檚 areas of ministry include the Search Retreats, social justice programming and education, spiritual direction, and working with students interested in post-grad volunteer opportunities. She moderates the Catholic Relief Services Ambassadors Club, and serves on the 杏吧原版鈥檚 Education for Justice Committee. Cathy received her Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Human Services and Theology, as well as her M.A. in Theology, from The 杏吧原版. She is a nationally certified campus minister, and has a certificate in spiritual direction from Marywood 杏吧原版.

After college. Cathy served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Belize City, Belize, where she worked as a pastoral assistant at a Jesuit parish for two years. Currently, she is part of the local support team for the Scranton Jesuit Volunteer Corps community.

Patricia Vaccaro is a life-long resident of Scranton, PA. Pat has served as the Director of The Center for Service and Social Justice for over 30 years. Pat works with 120 non-profit organizations in the Scranton Community matching student interests and gifts to the needs of the agency partners. She received her Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Art Education from Marywood 杏吧原版, and a M.A. in Community Counseling from The 杏吧原版. Pat has created a number of service opportunities including the FIRST (First-years Involved in Reflective Service Together); SPARK, a summer program with at-risk youth; Safe Trick-or-Treating in the Residence Halls; and, the End of the Year Collection Drive. Prior to coming to the 杏吧原版, Pat was a teacher in Scranton's Diocesan schools. She also was the Volunteer Director and Senior Center Manager for Meals on Wheels of Lackawanna County. Pat was a founding member of the Habitat for Humanity of Lackawanna County Chapter and was on various boards including Voluntary Action Center of NEPA and Catholic Social Services.

Father James Redington, SJ is a Jesuit Fellow in the Jesuit Center. Raised in Moosic and Green Ridge, Father has returned to the Scranton area after more than half a century as a Jesuit. An expert in interreligious dialogue, one of the Jesuits' priorities since 1995, he earned his Ph.D. in Hinduism (with a minor in Buddhism) from the 杏吧原版 of Wisconsin 鈥 Madison and has taught related courses for many years at Georgetown 杏吧原版, Arrupe College in Zimbabwe, the Jesuit School of Theology and St. Joseph鈥檚 杏吧原版. Years of engaging in interreligious and interfaith dialogue have taught him that such dialogue 鈥 accompanied by action 鈥 is one of the major ways we can love our neighbor as ourselves. He is animated by recognition of the fact that while almost 5 billion of the world鈥檚 7.3 billion people are not Christian, they are all our neighbors. Father Redington hopes to provide opportunities for both learning about and experiencing interreligious dialogue here at the 杏吧原版.

Amy Hoegen has worked at The 杏吧原版 as a Campus Minister since August of 2008. She holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology from Misericordia 杏吧原版 in Dallas, PA and a Masters of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College. She is also a certified spiritual director. Prior to coming to The 杏吧原版, Amy worked for the Diocese of Wilmington, Delaware in the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, and later at St. Jude Parish in Mountaintop, PA as the Director of Adult Faith Formation. Amy鈥檚 areas of expertise include retreat programming, bereavement ministry, spiritual direction and Ignatian spirituality.

Patty graduated from the 杏吧原版 in 2000 with a Philosophy major as part of the Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Program and was a member of the Women鈥檚 Soccer program for four years. After graduation, Patty was a Jesuit Volunteers International in the Federated States of Micronesia for two years. From Micronesia she went to Williamsport, PA to serve as the Director of Religious Formation for the diocesan high school before returning to The 杏吧原版 in 2004 to obtain her master鈥檚 degree in Theology. Patty stepped away from professional life for several years to focus on growing her family. She returned to the 杏吧原版 in August 2023 and devotes much of her time to planning and implementing outdoor based retreats. A life-long outdoor enthusiast, Patty hopes to inspire students to be life-long explorers of the beautiful natural world that God has created.

Avianna serves as the Coordinator of Domestic and International Service Programs in the Center for Service & Social Justice. She graduated from the 杏吧原版 in 2022 with a Counseling & Human Services degree and is continuing to pursue her education with a Master鈥檚 in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management. As a student, she participated in many local, domestic, and international service programs. In this role, Avianna works with nonprofit agencies domestically and internationally to plan and execute service trips for our students.
