Academic Transcripts

A transcript is a record of a student's academic achievement at the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ. A transcript includes a summary of a student’s coursework, credits and degrees earned. The ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ has partnered with Parchment to process online orders for official transcripts. Students, former students and alumni are able to order official transcripts 24 hours per day, 7 days per week using any major credit card.

Requesting Official Transcripts

All current and former students may place requests for official transcripts through the Parchment ordering system. The various methods of delivery are itemized below. You will be asked to provide personal identification information to locate your student record and a credit card will be necessary to complete the order. Since official transcripts display your first and last name on file when you attended the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ, please include information about previous names if your name has changed.

The ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ’s records for students enrolled in the fall of 1992 and thereafter are maintained in electronic format. Most orders will be processed within one to twenty-four hours.  

Records for students enrolled prior to fall of 1992 must be retrieved manually and uploaded for processing. Please allow additional processing time for these records.  

Note for current students:

Degrees awarded on December 31, 2024 will display on transcripts after 3:00pm on January  6, 2025. If ordered before then, the degree will not appear. 

Grades: Please place your transcript order after 1:00 pm on or after the dates below to include grades from the Summer 2024 term:   

  • Fall (part-of-term: 1 Full Term): December 18, 2024 
  • Fall (part-of-term H2, M2, M3): December 13, 2024 
  • Fall (part-of-term H1, M1): October 18, 2024

Transcript Delivery Options

1. Online (email): Official, electronic PDF copy of your transcript: $ 13.00 

Online delivery is the fastest, most secure and environmentally-friendly way to transmit your official transcript. Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. After the request is processed, your transcript will be emailed to the designated recipient. The typical delivery time of an electronic transcript is less than twenty-four hours. Before submitting this request, please verify that the recipient will accept your transcript in an electronic PDF format via email. The transcript link to retrieve the transcript is valid for 30 days; the transcript may be  downloaded and saved. Transcripts that are downloaded and then forwarded to another individual/institution are no longer considered official copies. 

2. USPS Mail: Official, paper copy of your transcript: $20.00 
    USPS Mail International: Official, paper copy of your transcript: $25.25 

 An official paper copy of your transcript will be delivered to the recipient via USPS mail. Please allow 9-15 business days for processing and delivery.  Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. 

3. In-person Pick-up: Official, paper copy of your transcript: $15.00

An official, paper copy of your transcript will be printed and held in the Office of the Registrar for pick-up 10 business days after the order is placed. Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. 

4. FedEx Overnight Delivery: Official, paper copy of your transcript: $50.00
    FedEx Overnight International: Official, paper copy of your transcript: $75.00

An official, paper copy of your transcript will be delivered to the recipient via FedEx overnight delivery. Please allow up to two business days for processing and delivery. Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. 

Requesting Unofficial Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts are available at no cost to current students through the my.scranton.edu portal. After logging in to the portal:

  • Log in to my.scranton.edu using your username and password.
  • Click the Student Profile card 
  • Select Academic Transcript 
  • Choose Transcript Level and Transcript Type from the drop down box 
  • To print your transcript, locate the Print icon to the right of your screen

Uploading Documents

Students sending their transcripts to application services such as AMCAS, LSAC, NCARB, SOPHAS, AACOMAS or other professional certification, examination, and licensing agencies will be able to provide any application service ID or upload required forms while ordering through Parchment. Parchment provides a list of established agencies to select from within the order form.

Hold for Degree and/or Grades

The ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ does not honor requests to hold transcript orders until grades or degrees are posted. Please verify your grades and degree conferral status in  before proceeding with your transcript order. There will be no refunds or reorders. 

Transcript Holds

Transcripts will not be processed for students with active holds on their records. You will be provided with contact information for the office that manages the hold if you have a hold on your record. All holds must be cleared before an official transcript order can be processed.

We cannot hold transcript requests for pending grades and/or degree conferral. In order for your transcript to display your most current grades, please do not place your order until you can view your grades in Self-Service at

Can I order a transcript if I have a hold on my account?

You may place a transcript order with a hold on your account, however, the transcript will not be sent until the hold is resolved. The transcript ordering system will check your account every day for 30 days to determine whether or not the hold has been resolved.  If it has, your transcript will be sent. No transcript will be sent if it hasn't been resolved. You will receive emails explaining the status of your request. 

Can a third party, such as a parent, request my transcript?

Yes. Under the regulations of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the student whose record is being requested must authorize its release and the requestor will have to upload the student's consent form.

Yes.  You will be notified if we are unable to fulfill your request, need additional information, or if there are holds that must be resolved.

How long will it take for my transcript to be processed?

Most electronic PDF transcripts are processed within an hour of order placement, although some circumstances require additional processing time.  All non-PDF delivery methods require a minimum 9-15 day processing time. Processing time may be longer during peak periods or if the student attended the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ prior to Fall 1992.  Additional time may also be required if the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ is closed. Under most circumstances, an electronic PDF transcript order will be processed despite closures and peak delays.
