Orientation Session Date: January 21, 2025
We are so excited to welcome you to The ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ! For our incoming students transferring from another institution (and new students starting in the spring term), we will invite you to an orientation session that will help you navigate the transition to the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ community. Your New Student Orientation experience will be offered just before the start of the semester. Please see below for some additional information about what to expect; we have also prepared a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to help you prepare for New Student Orientation! If you have any questions, please contact orientation@scranton.edu.
You can review the sample schedule of the orientation session for an idea of what to expect via the links below:
Academic Advising
As part of your enrollment at the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, new and transfer students will participate in applicable placement testing and academic advising with their college advising centers.
Academic Advising
As part of your enrollment, you will connect with an academic advisor within your respective college, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, or the Panuska College of Professional Studies virtually. Your academic advising center should be reaching out in January prior to Orientation. If you need assistance with this, please email orientation@scranton.edu. In this meeting, you review your spring schedule, go over your academic goals, review any placement tests you may need to complete, and resolve any questions you have about academics at the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ.
New Student Orientation Team
Our New Student Orientation Team is comprised of professional staff and student Orientation Assistants (OAs) who are so excited to welcome you to our campus community. Make sure you follow the Center for Student Engagement's Instagram to learn more about your Orientation Assistants!
